Artist Rassouli Opening at Art Modern Gallery Artist Rassouli Opening at Art Modern Gallery

Internationally acclaimed contemporary artist Freydoon Rassouli will visit Naples for a two-day show scheduled for March 17-18, 2009. The artist will be present for a reception on Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at Bamboo Cafe {french home cooking} from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Reservations for the reception are requested as space is limited.

The Iranian-American artist’s unique painting technique is named “Fusion-art,” inspired by mystical visions of universal unity and poetry. A resident of Southern California, Rassouli translates spiritual experience from his subconscious onto canvas through meditation at sunrise. His dreamlike images are constructed of vibrant colors and swirling circular energy depicting surreal images.

Rassouli has created several public murals in the Los Angeles area, notably the landmark “Angel of Unity,” a 55-foot by 1,100-foot wide mural in Venice, California, viewed daily by thousands of residents and visitors alike. A native of Isfahan, Iran, Rassouli’s art evokes the mysticism of near-eastern spirituality  and he draws inspiration from Persian miniature artists and masters such as Rembrandt and Gustave Moreau.
